In Class D of the 2nd year students at Souji High School, Touya is Sakura's older brother. Despite how much he teases her, he has looked out for her since their mother died seven years ago. He always seems to have a new part-time job, and is on the soccer team at school. During the week, he rides his bike to school with his best friend and companion, Yukito. Even though he has the special ability to see things other people don't and to respect and understand those things, he is the reason Sakura is scared of ghosts. He has a first degree black belt, and shares the chores of cooking and cleaning the house with Sakura and Fujitaka.

Touya, on the other hand, is very aware that Sakura is involved in something, gives Kero-chan strong looks all the time, interacts with the Clow Cards, and figures out the whole Yukito is fading away thing ....
