Li-kun replies his compass was created to search for Clow Cards. "What do you think this is, Chinese checkers? It's a Lasin board - it knows all!" No, actually, the board only points in the direction of a Clow Card - it can't capture a card, it can't seal a card, and it can't even tell which card it is. |
"Give them to me!" "Clow Cards!" random dialog change |

| "I can't. I promised Kero-chan I would collects all of the Clow Cards." "Clow Cards? Even if I did, I'm not giving them to you. I'm capturing them for Kero." subtle wording change, but along with the voice inflection, it changes the determined Sakura who's keeping a promise into the snotty SaKUra who's defying Li because she can. |
"Kereberos? The Beast of the Seal!? If he is here, why does he let a child hold the Clow Cards?" "Do you mean Kereberos? Since when does the Guardian Beast let someone like you carry the Clow Cards? Li-kun is wondering, in a soft voice, why someone as strong as Kereberos would give such responsibility to a 10 year old. Li is slamming her for no other reason than to show how much better he is than her. |

"Kereberos' symbol is the Sun, which rules over 'fire' and 'earth'. Don't you have those cards?" "Kereberos was supposed to guard the Clow Cards. Don't tell me they all escaped?" yet again, text cannot convey the sneer in Li's voice when he says 'guard' - moron. and never mind that important plot point. |
Sakura shakes her head no. "How long have you been searching?" Li: "But you've got some of them back, right?" SaKUra:" Yeah, a few." random dialog change |
"Since April." "I'm working on it." who needs a time line anyway? |

| "You've been searching for 2 months and you still don't have all of them?" "And you're a Cardcaptor? That's pretty pathetic." no, it's bad translation. for knowing nothing about magic and Clow Cards, Sakura has done pretty damn good to catch 9 cards in only 2 months. |
"That's right .... but how do you know about the Clow Cards?" "So I hear. But wait, how do you know about the Clow Cards?" 'so I hear' - from who? Kero, the abusive? figures. |
"None of your business. I'll look for the rest." "None of your business. I'm taking over." |
"Hand them over!" "Give them to me!" wow - they can translate, when they don't have to match lip movements. The Japanese don't care that much about matching lip movements to voices, why do we? |

| the *reason* Sakura won't give up the cards, even when threatened with physical force by someone stronger than her is such an insight to her character, and yet is is *so* lost in the CC version. | |||

"Oni-chan" "Let go of me!" Sakura is surprised, happy, concerned her brother has shown up. Apprantly, SaKUra hasn't noticed yet. |
Li-kun and Touya square off in defensive fighting stances. |

| Tomoyo asks if Sakura is okay, but Sakura is more worried about her brother. "It was nothing I ... couldn't handle myself." sigh |
Touya says he hasn't seen Li-kun's stance before, and asks if it is a Chinese martial art. "Don't pick on my sister, kid. Why don't you go home before someone get's hurt ... namely you." Touya, even though he is defending his sister, treats Li with the respect due another martial artist, and wonders at his art and skill. Needless to say, Tori sounds like a threatening brute. |
